Rongotai FC had an incredible season finale this past weekend, finishing as runners-up in the regional final after a dramatic penalty shootout against Miramar Rangers. The team showed tremendous character throughout the tournament and the club is incredibly proud of every player’s effort.
“The squad gave absolutely everything,” said head coach Dave Parata. “To go all the way to the final is a fantastic achievement for this group.”

Article shows “Published: 12 March 2025” and “Posted: 11 March 2025” — two different dates on the same article
Summer Tournament registration “closes 1 February” but the event is on “28 January” — deadline falls after the event
Event listing says venue is “Newtown Park” but event detail says “Kilbirnie Park, Wellington”
Contact email events@clubname.org.nz uses placeholder domain — club name throughout is “Rongotai FC”
Headline says “Club wins regional championship” but body text says “runners-up in the regional final”
Check deadlines against event dates — a registration closing after the event is a logic bug, not just a typo. Always read headlines against body copy too.
