DepthEnterpriseInterview prep
“Enterprise reality” on all 77 techniques + interview questions on all 61 tools
Two major depth passes shipped this sprint:
- Enterprise reality callouts — all 77 technique pages: every technique page now explains how the technique changes at 200–300-developer NZ enterprise scale. Each callout covers: what gets automated or governed (that’s manual at startup scale), relevant NZ legislation or standards (Privacy Act 2020, NZISM, HISF, PCI DSS), specific tooling at volume, and coordination consequences across 10+ squads. Anchored to real NZ organisations: Harbour Bank, Revenue NZ, Benefits NZ, CoverNZ, TransitNZ, HealthNZ, TeleNZ, Pacific Bank, Pacific Air, CloudBooks, and more.
- Interview questions — all 61 tool pages: each tool page now has 5 interview questions with what the interviewer is actually testing for, and a “Strong answer covers” guide with NZ-specific context. Covers conceptual, comparison, scenario, debugging, and architecture question types. Essential if you list any tool on your CV.

DepthTool libraryJudgement
All 61 tool pages upgraded — “When to choose” and “What I Would Do” now on every tool
Every page in the QA tool library (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, k6, Jest/Vitest, SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Pact, WireMock, and 51 more) now has two practitioner-depth sections:
- When to choose [Tool] — a 3-column decision table: signals that favour this tool, honest situations where you should pick something else, and specific complementary tools to combine it with. The “choose something else when” column is the most valuable signal — most vendor documentation won’t tell you this.
- What I would do — 2–3 practitioner judgment scenarios in “If… I would…” format, each anchored to a real NZ organisation or project context (CloudBooks, ListRight, Harbour Bank, TransitNZ, HealthNZ, TechServNZ, etc.).
Combined with the existing Pros/Cons, NZ Context, and Alternatives sections, these pages are now the most practical tool selection guide for NZ QA teams in existence.

DepthTechnique libraryJudgement
All 77 technique pages upgraded — Context Guide, Trade-offs, and “What I Would Do” now site-wide
Every page in the technique library (48 core + 29 agile techniques) now has three practitioner-depth sections that didn’t exist before this sprint:
- Context guide — a decision table showing exactly how much effort each technique deserves across 5–6 real NZ project contexts (regulated government systems, legacy migrations, agile squads, startups, and more), with Essential / High / Medium / Low priority signals.
- Trade-offs table — 3-column honest assessment: what you gain, what you give up, and when to use something else instead.
- “What I Would Do” — three practitioner judgment scenarios in “If… I would…” format, each anchored to a real NZ organisation or legislation (Revenue NZ, CoverNZ, Benefits NZ, TransitNZ, HealthNZ, Privacy Act 2020, Harbour Bank, Pacific Air, Spark, and more). This is the most differentiating content type on the site: situational judgment that can’t be found in any certification syllabus.
All three sections are now navigable from the in-page sidebar TOC. Combined with the existing evolution timelines, war stories, senior insights, and 751 interview questions, every technique page is now the most complete practitioner reference for that topic available in New Zealand.
